Affiliate Marketing Manager

Job Description

Our London based client is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Affiliate Marketing Manager.  As part of the Merchant and Affiliate Marketing team, this role is a vital resource for planning and execution of the overall acquisition and retention of affiliates. You will be expected to increase revenue and manage existing affiliates within the Affiliate program to support the overall online acquisition targets undertaken across multiple geographic regions within the Affiliate team.   This position will report to the Head of Merchant and Affiliate Marketing.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account managing a portfolio of existing affiliate partners via email, phone, newsletters and forums to maximize revenue generation
  • Nurturing existing affiliates to deliver incremental revenue month on month, and negotiating bespoke commercial deals where necessary to attract additional revenue
  • Managing new projects that support conversion and retention of new & existing affiliates that are onboarded to the program
  • Developing strategy briefs and online campaign marketing activities for existing affiliates including: conceptualization of key affiliate marketing messages, copy and creative ideas, execution and live placement
  • Monitoring, tracking and evaluating all affiliate marketing activity and reporting ROI of campaigns
  • Working with the marketing services creative and web development teams to deliver marketing assets that optimize acquisition marketing opportunities via affiliate sites
  • Maintaining full awareness and understanding of appropriate legislation and best practice for affiliate marketing initiatives
  • Creating quarterly affiliate promotions and incentives to keep existing affiliates actively promoting  on their sites
  • Developing unique content for monthly affiliate newsletters including: affiliate industry updates,  product and promotional news, and other relevant affiliate content
  • Monitoring and participating in main Affiliate marketing forums and events to strengthen existing affiliate relationships – locally and abroad as required
  • Working in partnership with the Affiliate Business Development Manager to deliver set revenue targets.
  • Front line contact with existing affiliates – handling queries, commercial negotiations and affiliate support and FAQ responses

Mandatory Skills:

  • A strong sales / acquisition / commercial negotiation background - with experience in meeting revenue and new business targets consistently
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentational); highly numerate with strong cost control, commercial negotiation skills
  • Experience creating and executing online marketing campaigns that stimulate new sign ups and increased revenue via 3rd party affiliate sites
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database packages
  • Good working knowledge and experience of tracking models (third party Ad serving, online analytics and affiliate tracking programs)
  • Ability to communicate well with people at all levels of the business and develop strong working relationships with internal and 3rd party service providers
  • Strong customer services skills; ability to create rapport with valued affiliates/partners
  • Capable of working independently and taking ownership of projects to deliver against high level targets
  • A team player – happy to participate in many varied projects , capable of multi-tasking under pressure to meet revenue targets
  • Organizational, strategic planning and execution skills

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience of working in an affiliate team, either agency, network or client side would be preferable
  • Network of existing gaming and financial services affiliates
  • Be interested in and understand the various types of online gaming activities in the iGaming sector (poker, casino, sports book etc.)
  • Experience in HTML and JAVA preferred but not required
  • Experience working with Income Access Affiliate software
  • Ability to work flexible hours
