Job Description

As a German Brand Risk Management Teammate, your primary responsibility will be to research, review and investigate potential Acceptable Use Policy violations. These violations include firearms, gambling and pharmaceuticals amongst other violating activities that are detailed in PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy.  By using multiple resources including PayPal account activity, external activity on any associated websites, eBay activity, customer contact, and other tools, you will effectively be able to investigate and resolve violating activities. Attention to detail is key in your investigations, because this can be the crucial difference between dismissing a lead and taking action on an account.  As a Brand Risk Management Agent, it will be critical for you to stay current with policy changes, seek ways to enhance current processes and controls, and maintain utmost professionalism in your interaction with our customers at all times. Brand Risk Management Agents will be subject to material which some may consider offensive in performing the essential job duties of this position.

Core Duties:

•Responsible for ensuring customers are in compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy as outlined in our User Agreement.  Reports policy violations after detailed research and analysis. (90%)

•Assist management staff with monitoring and implementation of procedures that address policy modifications. Assist with needed modifications or clarifications in policy (10%)

Requirements:

•Strong verbal (phone) communication skills utilizing active listening and clearly speaking to customer (in English and German)

•Strong written (email) communication utilizing proper grammar and punctuation (in English and German)

•Ability to make discretionary decisions based on research.

•Ability to function in multiple queues covering a variety of tasks with a sense of urgency and follow-through

•Ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies

•Strong working knowledge of external systems, PC based internet and software applications (The Internet, Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel).

•Basic Knowledge of internal systems & software (Kana, Intranet, Admin Tools, Attack).

Fluency in German and English are required for this role.

Education: General Education or Equivalent
