Business Development Manager - Hospitality & Car Hire. A fantastic opportunity for an experienced business development professional to join a global technology company based near Heathrow, responsible for selling hotel and car hire solutiohns to the Travel Management / Business Travel sector in the UK. Flexible to be home, field and office based.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
You will be responsible for implementing hotel and car hire business development activities into the travel sector, identifying opportunities in the market to acquire new customers and work with the wider sales and account management teams to secure the business. You will be required to create a pipeline of target accounts and delivering tactical initiatives in order to achieve the revenue targets for the segment. In addition to new business you will also look to analyse existing customer requirements, ensure they are aware of new products/services and consultatively sell further solutions which would benefit their organisation. You will also be involved with the implementation and training of new clients meaning that you may spend approximately 2 - 3 days a week in the office and 3 days travelling to client sites.
Business Development Manager Skills Required
- An experienced and accomplished business development manager with a proven track record of sales success.
- Experience working for a travel technology business or a solid understanding of travel industry technology/functionality highly desirable.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Must be pro-active, self-motivated and extremely driven
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- GDS booking experience gained from a hotel service centre of travel agent also highly desirable
Strategic Business Development Manager Package on Offer
A basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum plus car allowance + exceptional bonus potential
