Dutch retail customer support

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Dutch speaking retail Customer Service Advisor for our client based in Kettering. In this role you would be providing telephone and email support to the company’s network of shops in the UK and the Netherlands. The Company

The role is an international distributor and manufacturer based in Kettering. They provide products to a leading high street brand and manage the order processing, product training and queries from the retailers that stock the products. The company offer fantastic training with externally recognised qualifications and a potential annual bonus of up to £800.

The Role

You will be providing excellent customer care to business customers in Dutch and English. You will be working on the phone and by email to support business customers with their orders and providing advice on products. You will also be in contact with suppliers regarding any problems with orders and will carry out some quality control of product when receiving goods from suppliers.

The main duties of the role are:

  • Handling calls and emails from customers, in a professional and timely manner

  • Processing orders, and providing specialist technical (non IT) support and updates as required.

  • Maintaining systems to ensure customer details and orders are correct
  • Liaising with suppliers and other relevant parties regarding problem orders

Necessary Skills/Experience

  • Fluency in Dutch, both written and spoken.
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven customer service experience in a telephone-based environment is desirable.

Product and system training will be provided this will include qualifications which are recognised externally. You will learn to support the specialists in the shops


You will be working a 40 hour week over different shift patterns. These are:

Mon-Sat 08:00-17:00 (with occasional weekends and time of in lieu)

Mon-Sat 09:30-18:00 (with occasional weekends and time of in lieu)

3 days on, 3 days off 08:00-19:00



The company is based on the edge of Kettering and is commutable from Northampton, Leicester, Coventry, Milton Keynes, Rugby and Bedford.
