Dutch Transport Planning Lead

Job Description

We now have a dynamic logistics role open for people with a background in transportation to join a major FMCG's European team here in Prague.

Main Tasks
Analyse customer orders and create delivery plans and driver schedules,
Ensure 'best cost' delivery solutions by creating optimal delivery routes, selection of best transport partners and use of own transport fleet,
Troubleshoot any real time delivery problems (paper work issues, delays, stock problems etc),
Organise cross border deliveries as needed,
Coordinate with production to ensure that products are available and ready for shipment,
Create and distribute transport plans and all accompanying documentation,
Manage relationships with and evaluate performance of external haulage partners,
Manage driver's availability, calculating and ensuring coverage for vacations, sickness etc,

Requirements
Advanced English and fluent Dutch language skills
Previous experience in a similar road haulage tranport/logistics position
Must be able to work well in a fast changing work environment
Must be able to multitask and work to tight deadlines
Good general communication skills, able to communicate professionally at all levels within a company
Must have good leadership skills, able to give direction to drivers and other members of the delivery team
