German Psychology Account Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a German-speaking account executive to work with our client, a leading maker of business psychology tools used in HR, recruitment and team development. They work with large organisations across Europe and are looking for someone to join their Sales team to drive growth.

The role

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will create and manage a pipeline of leads/quotes/prospects to drive business growth in targeted sectors across Europe. You will be following up on expressions of interest and leads from various sources as well as identifying new opportunities. You will be working on a mixture of reactive and proactive outbound activities. This will include identifying and working on tenders for a variety of organisations - both B2B and B2G.

You will provide sales activity reports and analysis to identify trends and targets for growth. In addition, you will capture intelligence on your clients, competitors and markets.

You will also be building and maintaining relationships with existing partners across Europe following up on marketing campaigns to drive sales in specific territories. In developing your partner and client relationships, you will exhibit a service-centred approach and follow-up.

Overseas travel, approximately every six weeks, may be required to deliver workshops/tutorials to clients and partners as well as other onboarding activities.

You will also be a point of escalation for your territories for other teams e.g. Customer Service, Marketing and Finance handling a mixture of queries.

The company is based in a stylish office in north Oxford, with around 100 people on site. They have a very structured, 'big company’ feel and invest heavily in their staff with excellent product training and personal development. Their tools are used by a variety of big organisations from police forces to banks and you will be interacting with a wide variety of people at all levels.

The person

  • You must be confident on the phone and able to build rapport in English and German.

  • You must be target driven and keen to make a difference.

  • You must have experience of business culture in Germany and ideally of working in other European countries.

  • You must have excellent commercial awareness and a professional, organised business manner.

  • You must be confident leading presentations to clients and partners across Europe.

  • You must strong organisation and time-management skills.

  • Ideally, you will have an interest or understanding of psychology but this is not essential.
