£60k + Package (100% end of year bonus, commission, pension, Healthcare & benefits)

My client is a leading sports betting supplier to the horse racing, grey hound and football sectors across the UK and Ireland.

Due to expansion and increased revenue they now need a head of sales to look after a team of 2-4 commercial sales executives selling B2B products to operators and online betting suppliers.

Job purpose:

Overall responsibility for the performance of the commercial sales department with a high emphasis on exceeding digital advertising budgets. Simultaneously, work closely with other departmental heads to initiate and deliver new commercially beneficial products, empowering and assisting the senior sales team in maximising each product's value to the business.

Accountabilities:

1.Work with the Commercial Director and Commercial Sales team to negotiate and manage key customer contracts.
2.Oversee the day to day management of the department
3.Provide a day to day senior point of contact for external customers and internal product owners/mangers.
4.Liaise with senior management, including but not limited to the Commercial Director and product owners/managers to set internal commercial product and customer related sales targets.
5.Working in conjunction with Senior Account Managers, assess and prioritise cost effective sales opportunities that can be developed by the company. In all instances identifying; viability, internal/external resource requirements (if any) and time frame to deliver.
6.Ensure a highly professional and effective sales solution is delivered to all customers on a daily basis.
7.Identify, facilitate and maintain the provision of insight, market analysis and specific data as required and cost effective to the department.
8.Set performance based targets and ensure accountability for all commercial sales staff
9.Working in conjunction with departmental heads drive the commercial sales team to ensure customer, product revenue and performance targets are met.
10.Provide regular reporting and performance analysis for products, customers and the overall commercial department.
11.Working in conjunction with the Commercial Director, maintain an infrastructure that delivers an agile and adaptable sale team and encourages staff development.
12.Provide continuous analysis of the overall effectiveness of the sales department and its strategic direction, if applicable, reshaping the model or structure.
13.Ensure the departments integrity and level of service meets the highest possible standards.
14.Identify and implement process to enhance overall sales performance.
15.Oversee the recruitment and induction of new staff.
16.Any other duties as and when required.

Skills and attributes:
Essential
*Thorough awareness and understanding of the betting industry with an interest in sports and/or racing.
*Commercially driven with the ability to assess the market's demand for new products
*The ability to diversify focus and time across numerous differing product channels on an ongoing basis
*Strong communication skills and able to deliver a professional and efficient service internally with sensitivity to the objectives of each product head
*Efficient in producing business plans and project justification documents for the use of internal and external clients
*Awareness of technological developments and the latest digital products which may impact on the gambling industry.
*Highly motivated and committed with a high level of personal achievement.
*Management experience with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire others.
*The ability to prioritise multiple commercial product initiatives and utilise internal resource to the best effect
*The ability to work under your own initiative.
*Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
*Effective negotiating/influencing skills
