Working as a Senior IT Analyst, your role will involve troubleshooting application issues and incidents. You will also be responsible for provision and maintenance of documentation on system configurations and databases, as well as being responsible for defining methods of working and implementing daily operational procedures.
You will follow defined incident and problem management procedures, in order to log and track issues relating to past problems until a satisfactory resolution is found.
You will also perform incident analysis to find root causes of issues, and collaborate with peers across countries on issue investigations. You will liaison with L1, L3, application development, networks, security, management systems, and storage and database teams for resolving respective issues.
A degree of on call responsibilities is also required for this role. Travel may be required to the UK and beyond, but travel costs will be covered as per company policy.
Candidates must be fluent in English and Polish, both written and spoken. You must have significant experience in application support, with experience in Oracle, SQL Query, and Scripting experience in Perl and Shell Script.
Knowledge of monitoring tools including Control-M, Tivoli and Genos is also desired. Experience of application troubleshooting in a client server based environment is also desired. An understanding of Messaging, Web Logic/Tomcat application server. Good understanding of network concepts and topologies.
The ability to effectively communicate with all level of management and within the team, as well as with their peers all over global locations. A background in ITIL process would be a distinct advantage.
