Motor Insurance Account Executive

Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit a Commercial Lines Account Handler. The roles involve servicing a commercial portfolio of clients to retain existing business and generate new business.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing day to day support and servicing to existing clients on their insurance needs – issuing renewal documentation including renewal comparisons and market research to ensure best terms for the client, finalising insurance placements and updating policy schedules
  • Handling ad hoc client requests as they arise including mid-term adjustments, claims reporting and management etc
  • Identifying new business opportunities and following up by issuing quotations to the client
  • Developing strong working relationships with clients and generally supporting them with any queries, making suggestions to them to improve / add to their cover arrangements, and attending client meetings as appropriate
  • Maintaining good file management and documentation to ensure compliance with all legal requirements, Central Bank codes and BBG procedures and business ethics
  • Liaising and negotiating with insurance companies
  • Staying up to date on insurance products / rates and competitor activity in the market place
  • Assisting the Commercial Account Executive as requested

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years commercial insurance broking experience
  • Good knowledge of commercial insurances product ranges across the various markets for commercial property, employer’s liability and public liability, and commercial fleet
  • Familiar with compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent IT skills – previous knowledge of Open GI an advantage
  • CIP or working towards ACII or be “Grandfathered” with up to date CPD
  • Strong client communication and organisation skills
