Network Administrator/Desktop Support

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Providing Desktop and Application support to local and remote staff worldwide
  • Liaising with vendors as required
  • Maintaining and supporting the company's server infrastructure
  • Building and deployment of new hardware and software
  • Support of voice and data backup systems
  • Supporting TCP/IP Networks
  • Supporting VPN and firewall Servers
  • Supporting Windows Server Domain

You will report directly to the Global IT Manager based out of Dublin, Ireland.

Key Requirements:

  • 2-3 years working as a Network Administrator/ Desktop Support engineer
  • Experience supporting business users in a MS Windows environment (Linux also beneficial)
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills dealing with colleagues (users)
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Domains (PDC, Active Directory etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (2003/2010)
  • Ability to diagnose and correct networking issues on LANs and WANs over Internet VPNs
  • Experience troubleshooting and correcting hardware problems in servers and workstations
  • Fluent written and spoken English and German skills essential

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge/Experience in Linux or Unix
  • Familiarity with the Administration of a VPN server
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols (ssh, snmp, ldap, ftp etc.)
  • Familiarity in web servers such as Apache
  • Knowledge of networks and their infrastructure
