Sales Support Administrator & Account Handler    
Purfleet, Essex    

Our client has been at the forefront of the UK Wholesaling market for 31 years. They are now recruiting for an individual to provide a dynamic sales support service to the sales team whilst handling a limited amount of smaller accounts.

The role requires someone with excellent administrative skills, good organisation and the ability to keep calm under pressure whilst meeting required deadlines.

Reporting to both the head of sales and the General Manager your daily duties will include confirming and cancelling tour bookings, ad hoc costing for Disneyland Paris, loading tour questionnaires to the system, liaising with hotels, coach operators and the internal operations team.
Therefore the candidate needs to be proactive, dynamic in their approach, have good communication skills and a basic geographical knowledge of the UK and European coach tour destinations.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide Support to the Sales Team Members with System Administration
Provide administrative support to the Head of Sales
Preparing Costings and Quotations
Chasing Signed Quotations and Deposit Payments
Maintaining and Updating Client Profiles
Ensure that Client and Competitor Brochures are Obtained and Filed
Print and Distribute Team Reports on a Weekly Basis
Where necessary, contact Hoteliers and Suppliers for Wholesale Group Rates and Availability
Manage and Develop a limited amount of smaller Coach Operator Client Sales Accounts
Auditing questionnaires to clients about the quality of tours operated and checking for repeat booking requests
Attend Workshops and Exhibitions to Represent the Company as and when necessary

Candidate Knowledge and Skills Required:

Minimum 1 Year’s proven experience in the Travel Industry, preferably with Experience also of Tailor Made Bookings
Previous Sales Experience and Sales Administration is not essential but is desirable
Team Player, co-ordinating Sales Team Work, with a ‘Can Do’ attitude
Strong Organisational and Administrative Skills
Ability to Multi-Task and Plan Daily and Weekly Activity
Confident and Pleasant Telephone Manner
Good Geographical Knowledge of the UK and Europe
Computer Literate with Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience in dealing with Groups Bookings and Hotels
Attention to Detail a Must
