Security Engineer

Job Description

Our client an online leading company is looking for a Security Engineer to join their dynamic and growing team.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer the running of the IT security products
  • Ensure the systems are running in an optimized state
  • Check that systems are set up to best practices standards
  • Work on new security projects and services to improve and enhance current security posture.  

Requirements
  • Experience with a variety of security technologies such as IDM, IDS/IPS, DLP, SIEM and SSO.  
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and commonly used Internet protocols
  • Detailed understanding of tools and techniques used by ethical hackers including vulnerability testing tools and methodologies, Nessus, Metasploit, etc. 
  • Knowledge of application level security principles.
  • Best practice and standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO 17799, 27001. OSWAP, NIST 
  • Log analysis and event monitoring tools to help define and report on security metrics.  
  • Experience with: F5, Checkpoint, Cisco, Splunk, websense, Linux, Windows (desktop and servers) VMware, MDM. 
  • Would be consider an asset experience working in a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), Scripting / service automation, Cloud Services, Openstack, Hyper-v, AWS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and basic project management experience.
