Our European Service Centre office based in Swords Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and we're currently looking for an Senior IT Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience performing network planning, design, installation, support and optimization to join our International IT Team.
Senior IT Analyst based in Swords County Dublin
The Senior IT Analyst will be part of a team working on key IT Infrastructure projects aligned with Global Business strategy, within agreed parameters of time.
You will be working on day to day operations and key infrastructure projects. You will be working with existing and new IT technologies/ developments which fit and add value to the Global Business and Global IT strategy. You will ensure that service levels are maintained and continually approved, and problems with day-to-day delivery of services are minimized.
What will you be responsible for ?
Translate network designs into site-specific configurations.
Provide standards-based network documentation.
Configure standards-based network hardware, systems management software, and operating systems for all network elements.
Support standards-based network hardware, systems management software, and operating systems for all network elements.
Ensure proper maintenance coverage for all network hardware.
Perform IP address management.
Perform tier II troubleshooting as required.
Work closely with Network Incident Response Center for global support concerns.
Work closely with global field support personnel for completion of global field projects.
Evaluate network performance, and capacity to ensure that the business needs are met.
Maintain relationships with all relevant vendors.
Ensure the completed infrastructure meets standard configuration, performance and availability requirements, including matching to the Enterprise and Strategic architectures.
Ensure compliancy with all MIS and application standards, including all relevant regulatory corporate compliance (PCI, SOX, HIPPA, GLBA, etcâ€¦)
Perform other duties as assigned.
Working as part of the Global IT team to deliver the appropriate system architecture and infrastructure solutions to meet agreed business requirements.
Maintain a service management attitude, promoting best practice throughout the IT team.
Ensure Service Level Commitments are met and improvement opportunities are highlighted.
Maintain mission critical systems / IT infrastructure at all times.
Work within schedules, time estimates, and project plans for all deliverables.
Track own involvement project milestones, identify problem areas before they impact the project.
Provide regular communication of progress as required.
Ensure self development plans are followed and training attended, when scheduled.
Coach new members of staff to ensure IT/ business expectations are met on a consistent basis.
Promote existing and emerging technologies, to provide input on guidelines and roadmaps for future IT infrastructure developments.
Contribute to the smooth operation of the IT function in Europe.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience performing network planning, design, installation, support and optimization.
Working knowledge and experience in IP Networks.
Working knowledge of in the following areas: Unified Communications, Wireless, Network Management, or Router/Switch.
Experience in working on a diverse portfolio of projects.
Awareness of an ITIL framework.
knowledge / experience of third party supplier / vendor management
Knowledge and experience of quality management principles and processes.
Knowledge in deploying, operating, and maintaining various network environment including voice, data, video, wireless, security, router/switch.
TCP/IP network administration skills.
Experience in managing network management tools. (ACS, DNS-DHCP, Alterpoint, etc.)
Knowledge of complex campus cable (fiber and copper) designs.
Excellent written and oral communications skills with demonstrated commitment to producing high quality documentation.
Ability to work well with others across many organizations including development, sales, marketing, finance, customer support, and field service.
Professional demeanour and strong work ethic.
Professional customer service focused attitude.
Minimum CCNP certification
