South African Nurses wanted in Germany

Job Description

Our client, a European health care provider, seeks Registered South African Nurses who want to work in Germany and have an interest in frail care. The company will require candidates to take part in a 7 months German language course in Cape Town and upon successful completion; an initial 1 year contract will be given with a possibility of extending it based on performance. The company offers an attractive package which includes earning Euro’s, full medical aid benefits and overtime pay. 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Provide high quality health care 
•    Make sure that patient’s medication is always available 
•    Ensure that prescribed medication is administered correctly and timeously and within the guidelines of the nursing practices 
•    Record doctor’s instructions and ensure that medicine charts are written up correctly
•    Be aware of and up to date with, all nursing practices and policies of the organisation
•    Ensure that special diet sheets (where applicable) are accurate and up to date
•    Handle patient complaints in the correct manner
•    Ensure that the catering department is aware of all special dietary requirements and supervises the serving of all meals on the shift to ensure compliance 

Qualification and Experience:
•    Matric and proof of registration with the SANC
•    Minimum of 3 year’s relevant nursing experience 
•    Experience in frail care (advantageous) 
•    An affinity towards Geriatrics

Required competencies:
•    Professional language level in English and German 
•    Well-developed interpersonal and organisational skills
•    A disposition towards quality and excellent patient care
•    Be able to work shifts 
•    Willing to complete a 7 months unpaid German Language Course (4 hours per day, 5 days per week)
