We are now looking to grow our organisation with the appointment of a Trainee Recruitment Consultant. This Trainee Recruitment Consultant role is based in our offices in N3 - right next to Finchley Central station on the Northern Line OR Central Manchester.

 

Role Description

 

This is a dynamic and challenging telephone sales role; working alongside a small existing team of professional recruitment consultants you will work together to drive the business forward. The purpose is to increase the client base and to maximise sales revenue generated. You will be trained by two very experienced and successful consultants. You will learn in terms of the hands on training, the 'doing’ if you like and you’ll also be given the knowledge you need to succeed and develop yourself. You will want to work for a small, entrepreneurial company, with all the risks and possibilities that this entails!

 

-This role is a hands-on telephone sales role

-High levels of lead generation through online and offline research and cold calling

-High levels of high quality sales calls to sell recruitment services to clients

-Face to face canvassing and networking to build contacts and win business

-Resourcing and interviewing candidates to fill bookings

-Driving sales and maximising revenue generated

 

Person Specification and Experience

 

-You are a sales person, with a persuasive and consultative approach and a set of business ethics that puts integrity at the forefront.

-You are looking to be part of an exciting project and understand the role requires a hands-on approach to sales with high levels of sales through cold calling, telesales, business development and candidate resourcing; as the business progresses your role will develop.

-You will want to be appreciated and rewarded, and not just a number in an organisation.

-You should be intelligent, resourceful and highly proactive.

-Someone who drives - picks up the phone, makes the call, pushes things through. You will be looking to forge a successful career in recruitment.

 

You’ll be a sales person - a successful one - and we’ll want to see evidence of it! You might be experienced in telesales, telemarketing, appointment setting, lead generation or cold calling, business development for example. You will work ethically, you’ll be tough and resilient, but you’re 'nice’, easy to get along with and enjoy doing things for others. Your English must be to a very high business level both written and orally and if you speak another language, particularly a European one - that would be great. It’s not a 9-5 role, certainly not in the first year, so be prepared to work long hours, working hard and smart is the only way to achieve success. This isn’t just a job - it’s a long term career and project full of exciting possibilities.

 

Additional Information

 

The salary starts at £15,000. There are generous commission rates; in the medium term prospects for significant profit-share and/or bonuses and career progression according to business and individual performance. In the first year we expect you to earn an OTE of at least £25,000 - £30,000. Targets clearly set out in advance. We’ll discuss this with you at interview.
