Training and Support Specialist

Job Description

If you have a passion for travel and want to get into a training or support role then this could be the perfect next step for you!

Reporting directly to the Support and Training Managers, this person will be responsible for providing remote, on-site and office based training as well as telephone / email support to Dolphin Dynamics' clients in the UK and around the world.

*Preparing for, and conducting classroom and consultative style software user training for our range of products which incorporate travel agency / tour operator front, mid and back office management systems.
*Providing technical support to our software users in the UK and around the world, including answering calls, researching problems, interfacing with development, communicating solutions back to users, and documenting the issues and solutions.
*Preparing end user printed and on-line technical documentation for our software systems.
*Assisting with testing new software releases.
*Assisting with software demonstrations at trade shows, etc.

Minimum Experience Requirements:
*At least three years' experience in the travel industry, ideally working as a travel agent and/or as a sales/ticketing agent or helpdesk support representative.
*ideally one-year or more training experience, ideally in a travel agency, travel software company or similar
*Some experience of writing / updating end user training documentation highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*Thorough understanding of how travel agencies operate from both a front office and back office perspective
*Strong Windows and PC skills
*Self-motivated and capable of working successfully under minimal supervision
*Able to thrive in a small, fast moving, fluid, and demanding organisation
*Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills
*Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in other languages highly
